It is mainly composed of tire tread, curtain layer, buffer layer and bead。Tires can be divided into the following two types according to the structure (that is, the orientation of the cord on the tire body) (as shown below) : ordinary bias tires and radial tires。
1, ordinary bias tires

1) : The tread is the outer layer of the tread, including the crown, shoulder and side of the tread。
Crown: The crown is made of wear-resistant rubber, which directly withstands friction and load to reduce the impact of the cord layer。And protect the cord layer and inner tube from mechanical damage。There are various embossing patterns on the tread to ensure the adhesion of the tire to the ground。Tread pattern has a very important impact on the performance of the car, so we must pay enough attention to the tire pattern when choosing the tire。
Shoulder: The shoulder is the transition between thicker and thinner tread。In addition to the effect of protecting the curtain layer, the surface is also provided with various patterns to prevent slip and heat。
Tire side: The tire side is attached to a thin layer of rubber on the side wall of the cord layer。It can withstand large deformation, and its role is to protect the cord layer from mechanical damage and water erosion。
2) The curtain layer is the skeleton of the tire, also known as the body。
Its main function is to bear the load, maintain the shape and size of the tire, and make the tire have a certain strength。The cord layer usually consists of multiple layers of suspended plastic cord and rubber adhesive。In order to distribute the load evenly, the curtain layer is even more。The more plywood, the higher its strength, but its elasticity is correspondingly reduced。The surface of a regular ply tire is marked。
Fabric materials are generally cotton, rayon, nylon and steel。Now with polyamide fiber and steel wire rope, the carrying capacity of the same fabric layer in the tire can be reduced, thereby reducing rubber consumption, improving tire quality, and reducing rolling resistance, extending the service life of the tire。
3) Buffer layer Buffer layer between the tread and the tread fabric layer, generally made of two or several layers of sparse cord and a more elastic rubber, so the greater the elasticity, the easier it is to ease the impact of the car when moving on the uneven road surface, and to prevent the car from separating the tread and fabric layer during emergency braking。
4) The bead is composed of bead wire, curtain layer and bead bag cloth, among which the bead has great stiffness and strength, and the tire is firmly installed on the rim。
2. Radial tires
Radial tires with a 900° Angle or close to 90° Angle are arranged in the cord layer and the center line of the tire side, and the radial section of the cord layer tire is like the earth's meridian, so it is called the radial tire。The structure of radial tire is shown in Figure SS040011。Due to the arrangement of the cord layer, the cord layer of radial tires can be reduced by about 40%-50% than that of ordinary tires。The circumferential rubber of the tire is in separate contact, so in order to withstand the larger tangential force during operation and improve the stiffness of the tire, the radial tire also has several layers of cord and a large Angle of radial cross-section (70-75 Angle), high strength, and it is not easy to stretch the circumferential annular buffer zone layer。The belt layer is generally made of high-strength fabric cord with small tensile deformation (such as glass fiber, polyamide fiber) or steel cord。
Favorable conditions
Compared with ordinary bias tires, radial tires have the following advantages:
Rolling resistance and fuel saving: Due to the belt layer, the deformation and relative slip of the tire crown after cutting are more than that of ordinary tires, making the radial tire side small and thin, and the radial deformation recovery is faster。These two characteristics help to reduce tire wear and reduce rolling resistance。The test shows that the radial tire rolling resistance is 20%~30% higher than the ordinary tire, and the fuel can be saved by 5%~10%。
The tread has good wear resistance and long service life: when the wheel rolls, the tire is deformed, and the deformation of the tire surface is not only deformed, but also promoted by the deformation。Because the radial tire crown area stiffness is small, the deformation is small, almost no skid, the tire crown contact area is large, the unit pressure is small and uniform, so the tread reduces friction and wear。The test shows that the service life of radial tire is 30% ~ 40% higher than that of radial tire。
Flexibility and cushioning: Due to the radial arrangement of the radial tire cord, the wheel rotates, the vertical ground deformation of the tire is higher than that of the offset tire, and the tire body is soft and elastic, thus improving the vehicle riding comfort。
